WebMay 12, 2024 · Some Pine Mountain vineyard, and Moon MOuntain district stuff but these are just small little plantings. 8 - 9 week maceration. 4 out of 5 barrels are new. About 550 cases made. Smells very expensive, in a good way. Lots of structure and density to the palate. It's incredibly well made Cabernet. WebCritic tasting note: "This full-bodied and moderately tannic wine opens with attractive aromas of fresh spearmint leaves and plump blueberries. Ripe, yummy black fruits drench the palate. Red fruit was tasty but muted and tannins had an enjoyable black olive nose and flavor - probably from oxidation. Became stronger with air and out of balance after an hour. Another winner, i believe blend is 85% Cab with Syrah and Merlot. Dark fruit on the lush side. For a blend dominated by Cabernet, the Syrah makes its presence known.
